The Geothermal Village project aims to introduce standalone geothermal-based electric and thermal energy systems to off-grid African communities. It focuses on adapting these systems to local needs and socio-economic conditions in eastern Africa. By leveraging geothermal resources, the project seeks to empower local communities, reduce dependence on carbon-based resources, and support local socio-economic development, including reducing the workload on women and girls to allow for education and productivity improvements.
