The QDSOC project aims to develop highly efficient quantum dot-sensitized solar cells (QDSSCs) using environmentally friendly colloidal quantum dots. It focuses on finding new materials and better designs for PV cells to improve efficiency and reduce costs. The project will achieve this by optimizing the interaction between quantum dots and photoelectrodes, enhancing solar energy conversion, and aiming for a power conversion efficiency above 15%. This will help advance renewable energy technologies in both Africa and Europe, making solar panels more effective and affordable.
